Nashoba Valley Chorale
The Nashoba Valley Chorale is an SATB regional chorus,
founded in 1976, which rehearses in Littleton and performs in neighboring communities,
from Concord to Fitchburg. We prepare two major concerts a year in which
we perform serious (but not necessarily solemn) music of many styles and
periods under the artistic leadership of conductor Anne Watson Born. Our
repertoire includes works from Bach and Beethoven to Brahms, Bruckner and
Britten; from Vivaldi to Verdi to Vaughan Williams.
Our concerts are in December/January and
April/May, and we also participate in local telethons, and choral festivals.
Upcoming Chorale Events
- Tuesday, August 12, 2008 - Come to the Community Sing Open House at the First Baptist Church of Littleton! We'll be
singing under the direction of our wonderful director, Anne Watson-Born, showing pictures from
our 2007 Jamestown tour and eating delicious treats (recipies from our own cookbook - Masterpieces
from the Kitchen). We'd love to have you join us for a summer evening of camaraderie and singing
great music. And by all means, bring a friend, or two or three!
- Monday, September 8, 2008 - Our first fall semester rehearsal. Location: First Baptist Church of Littleton
- Saturday, September 20, 2008 - Grotonfest Community Festival. We will have an
information table at this festival, as well as performing for the festival attendees. The last
time we participated, all who were part of it had a great time!
